After circling back to our plans to revisit NBA Showdown 94, we connected on Parsec for a head-to-head game.
In short, I was making up for not spending that much time with NBA 2K14 when it was released almost ten years ago. I also played a number of exhibition games with retro teams and then-current rosters alike. Once again, even though there are problems with the accuracy of the retro squads, I still enjoy putting them out there on the virtual hardwood, and playing out some historical matchups. On top of that, there are many more enhancements to the current and retro season rosters alike. Accurate shoes have also been added to the 80s and 90s rosters, along with even more year-specific player faces. The current season rosters have been updated as of November 18th, including Two-Way Players. As with the previous version, the latest release is a major update to this long-running and comprehensive roster pack.
Revisiting it on a whim in completely changed my mind! I put the game aside when NBA 2K23 came out, wanting to give the new release my full attention and a fair chance.
